7 Chords is a comprehensive library of guitar chords for your iPhone that is suited for beginners as well as for intermediate guitar players.

Unlike most other programs 7 Chords uses the clear and understandable tab notation you already know from your guitar book / fingering chart. Picking a chord is very easy: just pick the base tone and variety of the chord on the pick-wheel, then select the voicing by sliding through the chord pages.

7 Chords shows chord name, the frets to play, the fingers to use (including information like barré) and also the actual tones played. The chord dictionary contains more than 1500 of the most common guitar chords for your electrical or acoustic guitar.

Supported chord varieties are: sus2, sus4, 5, +, 6, 7, 7sus4, o7, 7b5, 7+5, 7b9, 7#9, maj7, 9, 11, 13, m, m6, m7, m7b5, mMaj7, m9, +9, maj9, Cmaj7b5.

Simply tap or double tap the chord to hear it on your iPhone speaker.

Pros and cons of 7 Chords app for iPhone and iPad

7 Chords app good for

Mole found a chord bible at work so I tried to one up him with this. Try it out worst that can happen is youll learn a new chord or two. And a 2 dollar charge on your visa.Barely noticable.
Amazing for beginners/intermediates. Well worth the cheap price. 5/5
Very cool for looking up different chord structures all the way up the neck.
コードを素早く調べることができて重宝しています。 しかし、コードダイアグラムの表示が少し小さくて見にくく感じました。 please resize chord diagram more large size this is very useful app. thank you!!
has wide variety of chords and has sound samples for all of them
This app does what it said. Very useful when you need to find the chord. It tell you a few way to play the same chord. This app is very simple and straight forward.

Some bad moments

It doesnt even show open chords and a has very few variations. Spend the extra few bucks and buy guitar tookit instead. Im sure the other positive reviews must have been friends of the author.
Either Im doing something wrong or this application is a waste of money. Compared the chords to a chord bible and most of them were wrong. Some had the right fretting but the wrong strings and others were just nonsense
Shows chord variations on different frets. This was exactly what I was looking for.
I just got this app hoping it would include at least the most popular chord splits, say, E/G, D/G, G/A, etc. It only has chord split combination for C/! I dont understand why apparently there arent any guitar chords apps out there that include all split chord combinations. I own Guitartool (full version), which lacks the same split chord features. Disappointing.
